Promises Kept, A Novel

The Kingdom of Cairnnoth totters on the brink of destruction from the King’s relentless pursuit of the magics wielded by the Magiieri over the mountains. Behind him, his mother plots to bring herself into power. Only his younger brother sees what is happening to the kingdom and its people. Prince Eluc takes his life into his hands when he seeks out the Lion and Lioness of the Seas, two fearsome pirates rumored to have helped his father in days gone by. With the promises made to King Gareth that they would keep their eyes on things still remembered, the Lion and his Lioness move into the forefront of what could become a deadly civil war. And that’s just in the capitol. With help from members of the shadowy assassins’ guild and an aging cavalry sergeant, the Lion and Lioness have to put Eluc on the throne, save the kingdom, and put King Gareth’s shade to rest.

Reviews

“I am not usually a fan of fantasy novels, but I could not put it down and found all of the characters very endearing.  I liked the fact that you had such strong, confident women in roles that are usually saved for men.” S. Usherwood

“I don’t know if it’s an effort, a well-thought out plan, or just her writing style, but once you star reading, it’s hard to stop.” J. Napier

“Promises is a fast, fun read with great character development of the many interesting personalities involved. I can’t wait for the next one.” J. Hogsded
