Mmmm, sounds awesome. I love bread and butter which sounds normal but I use an obscene amount of butter.

Yay for chocolate chips! They make everything better. How about chocolate chip pancakes?

Steal a spoonful of cookie mixture when you're beating the butter and sugar together. Add in a few chocolate chips and who needs to bake the cookies?! :)

First Experiement... Lavender Sugar Scrub

I make a wonderful sugar scrub. It exfoliates and moisturizes beautifully. Usually, I add a few drops of essential oils for scent or even some freshly grated nutmeg. Well, this time I decided to add some lavender buds...

Yeah, this didn't work so well. Don't know why it didn't occur to me that the buds would be ALL over the shower. So, this, while it smelt lovely, was a major failure.

The regular recipe is great to toy with, however!

Sugar Scrub Recipe:

Water-tight container
White Sugar
Olive Oil
Essential oil of choice

Fill your water-tight container about 2/3's full of white sugar. (I use a Gerber baby bowl and lid but have had very good success with screw topped containers that once held body butter) Add enough olive oil and mix gently til you get the consistency of wet sand. Add two to three drops of your scent and mix again. I usually go through a batch a week.

Use:

In the shower, rub the scrub gently over your skin to exfoliate and moisturize. Avoid the eyes (Duh) and be VERY careful as the oil will make your shower slick! Rinse under warm water. Pat dry with a towel and enjoy how silky your skin feels.

LOL I could name one lady (to use the term most loosely), but you never know who might be reading this. Some day, over a bottle of beer, I'll have to tell you about her.

We now have sleet and ice every where. Joy.

I agree! I actually felt much better after only a little pilates. I think I'll be doing this every night now.

Who on earth would hate you?

I agree, I want snow or spring. Cold and rain is the worst.

Pilates fixes everything, though.

I'm definitely going to take it easy. I want to start with three days a week -- I can't go longer than 30 minutes at work because I have to have time to get Wee Child picked up from the YMCA after school care. My goal is to get up to five days a week. As for the rest, I need to work on me and feeling like more than a drone. I miss being fabulous and creative and funny. I figured, if I post the goals (and I did here and on Facebook), I have to get some progress because I don't want to look like a feeb. LOL

Take it easy, go slowly starting the exercise again, and give your body time to adjust. I think these are laudable goals. You're inspiring me.
