Here I am. I’m setting up a blog to talk about my fiction writing, my poetry, my photography, the causes that I am passionate about, and whatever my crazed little mind desires. I am both excited and vaguely terrified. I live in my head, so I know what it is capable of!

I should introduce myself. I’m Erika, weaver of stories, capturer of images, and a mom. Guess which one is the hardest part of my day? Yes, being a mom. It’s hard to balance being a stay-at-home mom and an artist. Add running a household and trying to become more active in my community and you have a recipe for a frazzled woman. So, while this blog is a way for me to present my creative side, it will also be about the balancing acts that I perform on a daily basis.

I expect, as I learn how to use this blog, that I’ll add a page of poetry, of photos, and whatever else I can think of. For tonight, I’m just glad I got this started and will now spend my time trying to learn about blogging and Word Press. Not too shabby for someone who has struggled against blogging for so long.
